The whole route, on the phone too
Build a route right in the app: waypoints placed on the map, “My position” as the departure. My routes can be searched by name and sorted; a route can be shared with a named person, by email, read-only. Tap a structure for its sheet, with its sources; the legend and base map stay available while navigating. One tap reports a point you encountered, with a photo and a category. Every accepted contribution on La Chaîne earns a Maillon.
Your position stays in the truck
Navigation tracking and structure alerts are computed entirely on your device; off the planned route, your position may be sent to our servers to refresh alerts, and is not retained there.
Offline
Downloadable map packs: your routes remain available and navigable where network coverage ends.
Light or dark theme
The light theme reads better in bright sunlight, the dark theme is easier on the eyes at night. You choose, on the web as on Android, or you let the application follow your phone's setting.
